Stevenson will be the third actor to step into the steel-toed army boots of the illustrious Marvel Comics hero known as The Punisher. Dolph Lundgren was the first to don the skull shirt in 1989. Jane followed suite in 2004.
Lexi Alexander will be directing The Punisher 2. Latino Review is also reporting that the villain this time around is going to be Jigsaw. No word on whether Tobin Bell will be playing the part.
Punisher: War Zone was released December 5th, 2008 and stars Ray Stevenson, Dominic West, Doug Hutchison, Colin Salmon, Wayne Knight, Dash Mihok, Julie Benz, Stephanie Janusauskas. The film is directed by Lexi Alexander.

I liked the recent punisher since it's the story is almost exactly like Garth Ennis storu arc for the punisher but iwasnt fond of Jane in that role i even thought that Dolf was a better choice. And unlike bana beeing replace by Norton , I reallyt think this is a good idea

WOW, I think he's great, because I watched Rome and because I read the MAX Punisher comics, and I think he's got more an older and tougher look than Tom Jane (like in MAX). I like Tom Jane of course but I just didn't feel like he was agressive enough. I support this choice, all the way!

I agree on the changing actors ordeal( Hulk!!! Bana did a fine job!!!), but this guy has got the look, just maybe. Comic films are hit and miss anyway, so lets hope for the best.

I thought he did a great job as Titus Pullo, but I can't see him as the Punisher. Call me old fashioned, but I'm just not a fan of sequels that don't have the original actor (unless age, illness, or death are a factor).
