Randall Wallace to Rewrite Captain Nemo: 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Captain Nemo: 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea aims to tell the origin of Captain Nemo and his submarine warship, the Nautilus. Nemo is a mysterious but noble antagonist in the book, a scientific genius with a thirst for knowledge and a desire for revenge against the forces of imperialism.
The script previously was worked by Bill Marsilii and Justin Marks.
Wallace is squeezing in the "Nemo" writing gig before he directs "Secretariat," starring Diane Lane, for Disney. The racehorse drama is set to begin shooting in late September. Wallace, whose writing credits range from "Braveheart" to "Atlas Shrugged," is repped by WME.
20,000 Leagues Under the Sea: Captain Nemo comes to theaters in 2013. The film is directed by David Fincher.

You don't understand. Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li was beyond bad. It was atrocious. Everything about that movie was garbage and nearly unwatchable, and the dialogue(written by Marks) was a big part of that.
"You are the milk of this operation...but even milk has an expiration date!"
What the f*ck is that?! That's the writing of a hack is what. Marks is a hack. That's why all the good gigs he was given have begun getting rewritten.
Super Max sounds like a cool concept. But my expectations are dangerously low after the sh*tfest that was Stree Fighter.

With Randall Wallace attached, there's hope.
As for the title: Either call it CAPTAIN NEMO or 20,000 LEAGUES UNDER THE SEA, not both...
