Raja Gosnell is set to direct the family comedy, South of the Border for Walt Disney Pictures.

The live-action movie in which the animals will talk, chronicles the adventures of Chloe, a pampered Beverly Hills Chihuahua accustomed to riding in a purse. The Hollywood Reporter adds while on a vacation in Mexico, she gets lost and must rely on her friends to help her get back home.

Analisa Labianco wrote the script; South of the Border will start production later this year.
