Raging Bull II Starts Production in Los Angeles

Production is under way in Los Angeles on the prequel/sequel hybrid Raging Bull II. William Forsythe stars as the present-day version of boxing legend Jake LaMotta, with Mojean Aria portraying the younger version. Martin Guigui (Beneath the Darkness) is directing from a script he co-wrote with Rustam Branaman. The story takes place both before and after the events of Martin Scorsese's 1980 classic, Raging Bull, exploring the boxing champ's past and present environment.

The cast also includes Natasha Henstridge, Alicia Witt, Penelope Ann Miller, James Russo, Joe Mantegna, Ray Wise, Paul Sorvino, and Robert Davi.

Shooting is taking place throughout Los Angeles and on the Universal Pictures lot. No release schedule has been announced at this time.

The Bronx Bull comes to theaters in 2013 and stars Natasha Henstridge, Alicia Witt, Penelope Ann Miller, William Forsythe, James Russo, Joe Mantegna, Ray Wise, Paul Sorvino. The film is directed by Martin Guigui.
