Rachel Weisz and Colin Farrell have joined the cast of the drama, Dirt Music for Phillip Noyce's Rubbalara Films; Noyce also co-wrote the screenplay and is directing.

The film is based on Tim Winton's novel set in North Western Australia, says The Hollywood Reporter; it focuses on the lives of an alcoholic mother and a gloomy poacher living in a remote fishing village.

Dirt Music is set to begin shooting Down Under in August.
