Rachael Leigh Cook has signed on to star in the romantic comedy Bob Funk. According to Variety, Steven Root, Grace Zabriskie, Amy Ryan, Eddie Jemison, Lucy Davis and Michael Leydon Campbell will also be appearing in the film.

The script, written by Craig Carlisle, will follow a scornful sales executive who works for his mother's futon company. After being fired, he falls for the woman that is sent in to replace him. The film will mark Carlisle's directorial debut.

Bob Funk is gearing up to shoot next month in, and around, the Los Angeles area.
