Quentin Tarantino Directing a Spaghetti Western

Director Quentin Tarantino is ready to make his follow-up to the 2009 hit Inglourious Basterds, and this untitled project will be a spaghetti western.

Christoph Waltz, who took home an Oscar for his portrayal of Colonel Hans Landa in Inglourious Basterds, will star in the project. Other actors such as Franco Nero, Treat Williams, and Keith Carradine are also rumored to star.

Franco Nero claims the movie is called The Angel, The Bad, and the Wise, although a conflicting report indicates this is not the title of Quentin Tarantino's movie. Here's what the Italian actor had to say.

"The film will be called The Angel, the Bad and The Wise and is a tribute to Sergio Leone. It's a movie that contains humor, lots of action, but also a great plot."

The movie will reportedly go into production later this year, with filming to take place in both Italy and Spain.

@masta-chiefed don't get me wrong, Basterds was good, but if you compare it to other taranteno works it's crap. there were alot of problems with the story, Pitt was awful, the movie was called after the basterds but they hardley had any part in the movie. the movie still have some of the greatest scenes in the history of filmmaking, but if you consider it as whole, it wasn't good, and defenitly overrated. with all respect to Mr. Tarantino and the fans of Inglorious Basterds>

@bawnian-dexeus Pwah! True...but a spaghetti western staring Samuel L.Jackson? Hell, a spaghetti western directed by Tarantino is just a western. But since Tarantino has been heavily influenced by spaghetti westerns especially The good, the Bad and the Ugly, I actually have faith in this project.

Inglourous Basterds was fantastic. It was classic Tarantino. Sorry kids, if it didn't have explosions or deaths every 2 seconds, but when it did, it was hardcore awesomeness. Part of the Tarantino experience is the awesome dialogue, the back and forth between his characters, and the rising tension, and Basterds had all that.

Although I'm not too big fan of Inglorious...at all, this sounds more along the lines of "Death Proof" or "Kill Bill" which were amazing films.

@bawnian-dexeus Gotta have Sam Jackson in this next one. He's a staple of the Tarantino movies! And he's gotta say motherf*cker at least once, nobody says it like he does.

2 things Tarantino would be best at: a spaghetti western and an original superhero concept. This will not only pay homage to spaghetti westerns as they exist today, but it will push the envelope to the breaking point of sheer awesomeness. Ssooooo cannot wait for this. The soundtrack is sure to be amazing as well.
