Ridley Scott's Prometheus will feature actual DNA of the xenomorphs
"They've built the 'space jockey' cockpit at Pinewood as seen in the original Alien film, so it definitely takes place in the same world as Alien. Despite that press release that seemed to indicate there were no aliens in the movie, the familiar H.R. Giger-style aliens do appear. Big ones apparently."
We reported last month that H.R. Giger was returning to the project, which at the time was still dubbed as an Alien prequel. H.R. Giger won an Academy Award for Best Achievement in Visual Effects for designing the creatures of Alien.
It is also said that the DNA of the xenomorphs will be a key factor in the Prometheus plot line:
"Part of the film will be shot in Morocco. I've heard that some sort of archaeological dig where they discover alien DNA takes place there and that DNA gives them the coordinates for an alien world. I've also heard Morocco is being used for alien planet landscapes so I'm not sure if it's an archaeological dig on another planet."
The story from a few weeks ago featured a quote from director Ridley Scott, who said that, "The keen fan will recognize strands of Alien's DNA." Apparently, he didn't mean that in a metaphorical sense since there will be actual Alien DNA reportedly featured in Prometheus.
Alien was released May 25th, 1979 and stars Tom Skerritt, Sigourney Weaver, Veronica Cartwright, Harry Dean Stanton, John Hurt, Ian Holm, Yaphet Kotto, Bolaji Badejo. The film is directed by Ridley Scott.
Prometheus comes to theaters June 8th, 2012 and stars Noomi Rapace, Michael Fassbender, Charlize Theron, Idris Elba, Sean Harris, Kate Dickie, Logan Marshall-Green, Guy Pearce. The film is directed by Ridley Scott.

The Insider's wrong however. The space jockey simply crashed there, most likely as a result of the alien bursting from its chest. Hence, they brought the aliens to LV-426. Not the other way around. This has been expressed numerous times before via doc*mentaries and interviews with the original creators of the project.

I already know what this movie is gonna be rated. A hard R. I'm not sure Ridley's gonna want an nc-17 rating, but if people know this movie is about alien, they're gonna go anyway or watch it on the internet anyway.

I'm just happy that they seem to be moving in all the right directions. Great cast so far, we've got Ridley Scott directing, H.R. Giger doing creature designs, it's going to flesh out the Alien mythology like we've never seen, this is gonna be one special movie in 2012.
