Prometheus synopsis indicates a massive battle to save the human race
"Ridley Scott, director of Alien and Blade Runner, returns to the genre he helped define. With Prometheus, he creates a groundbreaking mythology, in which a team of explorers discover a clue to the origins of mankind on Earth, leading them on a thrilling journey to the darkest corners of the universe. There, they must fight a terrifying battle to save the future of the human race."
The first official synopsis didn't indicate any sort of epic battle to, "save the future of the human race," but, despite this new revelation, there is still much we don't know about Prometheus.
Ridley Scott is directing Prometheus from a screenplay by Damon Lindelof and Jon Spaihts. Production is currently under way.
Prometheus comes to theaters June 8th, 2012 and stars Noomi Rapace, Michael Fassbender, Charlize Theron, Idris Elba, Sean Harris, Kate Dickie, Logan Marshall-Green, Guy Pearce. The film is directed by Ridley Scott.

We definitely need a trailer! I can't WAIT for this!!!!
With Halloween right around the corner, it shouldn't be long now. The question is, what movie will they pick to play the trailer in front of? Figure that out and you might have your date for the trailer release. I've looked at all the releases this year and nothing sticks out as a good candidate.....but surely the trailer will be released within the next month or so.
Man, Ridley Scott's return to Sci-fi with a connection to the Alien series........doesn't get any more epic than that!!!
