Well thanks for the info. But I still think it's a well done Alien film and film in general.

So, what I want to know is whether this thing is getting an R-rating?

When Prometheus was more officially an Alien Prequel, as opposed to an original story in the same universe, and was going to be 2 films, Ridley was pushing hard for an R-rating......but was still negotiating it. Then a few months later it was bumped down to one film, the budget I think was lowered a bit and Prometheus was born. So, will he get his R-rating with brutal violence and edgy concepts.......or will the studio get their way, make it PG-13 and, possibly, ruin a masterpiece????

@messenger I've only seen parts of it. All I really know about it is Fincher walked off the set shortly after production started. Why he was given a directorial credit for it, who really knows. Sev7en, for all intensive purposes, was his first film.

Alien 3 was extremely well done for being a third in a series. It was able to take the story back to the structure of the first where survival instincts were your only weapon.

The writing on the tunnel entrance in the second picture looks too "Stargate-ish" and reminds me of all the writing on the pyramid in AvP. I'm hyped up for this prequel, but I honestly don't picture the aliens setting around writing on the walls.

@SpaceCowboy Dang, man. The first two are classics. You should definitely go back and watch 'em before Prometheus. All the others suck.

@thedude-abides Not really. Probably because it's been forever since I've seen them so I lost interest in the movies.
