In the USA Today story, director Colin Strause stated, "There's a real history to these characters. People grew up with these characters when it was a serious franchise. We want to make it just as serious and dark as the originals. You're not going to see 50 digital creatures running around. We want to bring the franchise back to basics. That's what made them so frightening in the first place."

This is going to rock. Although I did enjoy AVP I was very disappointed with the rating. You cannot make an Aliens or Predator movie that is PG-13. I'm very excited this sequal will be going back to the basics and make this one R rated. It will also be nice to see this movie without all of the CG. Back to basics. That's what I like

Every time an Alien deposits its "seed" in a different species it takes on some of the new species traits. I think it is rather cool, and will most likely look much better in the final film than in this over-lit snapshot. I really enjoyed the first AVP, cannot wait for this one.
