Platinum Dunes Wants to Remake Rosemary's Baby

Horror remake specialists Platinum Dunes have done it again. According to ShockTillYouDrop, the Roman Polanski film Rosemary's Baby is set to be remade by the production company.

The original film, based off of Ira Levin's novel, was released in 1968 and starred Mia Farrow, John Cassavettes, Ruth Gordon and was written and directed by Roman Polanski.

No production schedule has been annouced for this, but Dunes producers Brad Fuller and Andrew Form are currently looking for writers for the project. The company is currently developing new entries into the Friday the 13th and A Nightmare On Elm Street franchises.

I will see it. I liked the original, but like The Omen, I prefer the remake. The original Omen was boring and I didn't, for one second believe that two actors (in their 50's and 60's) would have a child. The remake was great. Now, Rosemary's Baby was good, but slow paced and I wouldn't watch it again. I hope they cast someone like Nicole Kidman as the lead. She was hot and perfect for The Invasion. Or maybe someone younger like Rachel McAdams.

    I do :)
I would never pay to see any of these movies and actually haven't seen any of these Michael Bay produced remakes. I just own the scores because I like Steve Jablonsky ;).

But it's true, consumers vote with their money. The vote usually comes out as "we want more horror remakes", which is sad because most of the people who go see remakes don't even know they are remakes unless the orginal movie is very popular.

I hate unnecessary remakes too. But why do you guys think these production companies make them anyway? PROFIT! If these films didn't make money, there'd be no point in making remakes. Most of you claim that your just as sick & tired as seeing them just as much as I am. Do you know what I do? I don't watch them! A lot of people didn't like Ghost Rider, they even said they expected it to be a disappointment. And yet it was one of the biggest box office openers on Memorial weekend was it? The point is that most of us are just as bad as the companies that make these since most of us are hypocrites for paying to see them. Prove that your all fed up with Hollywood's unoriginality and make a stand.

Okay, Michael Bay needs to stop this.

First he does Texas Chainsaw Massacre, then The Amityville Horror, then The Hitcher.

Now he's doing The Birds, Rosemary's Baby, Friday The 13th and Nightmare On Elm Street!

Michael Bay, focus on your own films and stop producing this crap. Go hire some writers who can come up with their own ideas.

....I'm still shocked...I'm mean how can you Re-Make an an Academy Award-winning horror film?? What the hell does Roman Polanski think about this, after all he is the orginial director?? OR even Mia Farrow??

A sequel titled "Look What's Happened to Rosemary's Baby" aired as a made-for-TV movie in 1976 starring Patty Duke as Rosemary Woodhouse, and Ruth Gordon reprising her role of Minnie Castevet!!

THIS HAS TO BE THE DUMBEST F*CKING IDEA I EVER HEARD FOR A RE-MAKE....OK THE RE-MAKE OF "PSCHYO" WAS THE STUPIDEST!
