The highly-anticipated Disney film Tron Legacy is still set for release on December 17 and it seems that the studio sought out some help when it came to reshoots last month. Entertainment Weekly is reporting that Brad Bird and Toy Story 3 screenwriter Michael Arndt were brought on to write pages for the reshoots of Tron: Legacy.

The site is reporting that director Joseph Kosinski brought an early cut of the film up to Pixar in March and after the screening, Disney hired both Bird and Arndt to write new pages for the reshoots, which took place last month. It was also said that the film's original writers, Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz were also involved in writing the reshoots.

"Tron: Legacy is very much Joseph Kosinski's vision, a vision which is thrilling to me and I hope is thrilling to the fans," said Sean Bailey, Disney's president of production. "What I give Joe and the filmmaking team immense credit for, is this was all born out of how do we give the fans the best movie we can. We were very fortunate that Pixar wanted to play a part in it."

Bailey was originally a producer on the film before taking over as Disney's production president in January.

We'll be sure to keep you posted on any further news regarding Tron: Legacy as soon as we have more information.

Tron: Legacy was released December 17th, 2010 and stars Jeff Bridges, Garrett Hedlund, Olivia Wilde, Bruce Boxleitner, James Frain, Beau Garrett, Michael Sheen, Anis Cheurfa. The film is directed by Joseph Kosinski.
