I wonder if they will go a completely different route and start a new story that's good and has NO ties to the first 3... That way, if it's good, I can treat the 4th as the legit sequel and add that to my first DVD, which is quite lonely on that shelf, but he knows better than to smoke crack with his peers, DMC and AWE.

Could be cool. Don't let Russell Brand anywhere near this, though.

Ok i went to another site and they confirm this...
The title is made for obvious reason since this one may be a book to film adaptation based off Tim Power's Novel of the same name.
Here is what has been confirmed for the installment
We already know that Jack Sparrow and Barbossa (Geoffrey Rush) will be searching for the fountain of youth
Now here is the plot of Tim Power's novel
Plot of the book: Puppeteer John Chandagnac, who was sailing to Jamaica to get revenge on the uncle who had stolen his father's inheritance, has no choice but to join the buccaneers who have taken him prisoner--and soon, known now as the pirate Jack Shandy, he finds himself learning to survive in a treacherous new world of cutlass-fights, sea-battles, and voodoo magic on sun-blinded tropical islands. The legendary Blackbeard is assembling a ruthless navy of pirates living and undead to voyage to the fabled Fountain of Youth, and Jack Shandy must use magic, swordsmanship, and even his puppeteer skills to free himself and the girl he has fallen in love with from Blackbeard's deadly supernatural domination.
So it looks like were getting a whole new cast including Russel Brand as Johnathan Sparrow, Geoffery Rush is returning...
Wonder who is going to play Blackbeard, though.
I can see Benico Del Toro in the role...
what about you guys?

I'm looking forward for this, at least we won't see Will Turner since he's a Captain now. The title is catchy but somehow it doesn't seem right, I would most likely rename this Pirates of the Caribbean: In the Might of Eternal Days. To me it sounds fitting, to others I have no clue what you all think.

I like the title too, has more of a catch to it than "Fountain of Youth" which to me seems too boring sounding. Dead Mans Chest and At World's End were good titles.
