Mark you calendars for August 8th, 2008. According to Variety, that's when The Pineapple Express, Seth Rogen and Judd Apatow's follow up to Knocked Up, will open.

The film will be up against the Brendan Fraser film Journey 3-D and Hellboy 2: The Golden Army, which will be in its second week of release.

The Pineapple Express will pit pothead Rogen and his drug dealer turned friend James Franco against a couple of gangsters. Apparently they witnessed a murder. There is no doubt that the film will be rated "R".

Pineapple Express was released August 6th, 2008 and stars Seth Rogen, James Franco, Danny McBride, Kevin Corrigan, Craig Robinson, Gary Cole, Rosie Perez, Ed Begley Jr.. The film is directed by David Gordon Green.
