Seth Rogen is interested in making a Pineapple Express sequel
"I don't think it's so precious that I wouldn't want to ruin it with a sequel. So yeah, I would be [into it]. We talk about it. We joke around about it."
Back in February 2010, James Franco indicated some "practical steps are being taken to actually make it happen," referring to a Pineapple Express sequel. Seth Rogen co-wrote the Pineapple Express script with Evan Goldberg, but it isn't known if the writing duo will tackle the sequel script.
Pineapple Express was released August 6th, 2008 and stars Seth Rogen, James Franco, Danny McBride, Kevin Corrigan, Craig Robinson, Gary Cole, Rosie Perez, Ed Begley Jr.. The film is directed by David Gordon Green.

@moviegeek -- It was to be expected, though. Read the title, then the descriptions, along with the summary. To each his own..

@XxNickTheFilmCriticXx I guess it's fair to mention that I don't like stoner humor. But this movie was LONG and violent and dumb.

No. The first was terrific on its own; it wasn't super funny but it was a good time. I oppose highly to this.

I enjoyed Pineapple Express but that was when Seth Rogen actually made good movies. Now his movies are trash and I believe a sequel would just add to his collection of trash.
