Peter Sarsgaard is joining Jake Gyllenhaal and Reese Witherspoon in the cast of the thriller, Rendition for New Line Cinema.

Tsotsi director, Gavin Hood is taking the helm on this project with Kelly Sane writing the script. Variety says it centers on a CIA operative in the Middle East who questions his assignment after observing a secret-police grilling of a suspect in a suicide bombing.

Filming on Rendition is set to begin later this fall for a 2007 release.

Rendition was released October 19th, 2007 and stars Omar Metwally, Reese Witherspoon, Aramis Knight, Rosie Malek-Yonan, Jake Gyllenhaal, Hadar Ratzon, Moa Khouas, Zineb Oukach. The film is directed by Gavin Hood.
