Peter Sarsgaard, Dennis Hopper and Deborah Find the Dying Animal
The film is based on Philip Roth's Pulitzer Prize-winning novella, Dying Animal. Isabel Coixet is directing the Nicholas Meyer script, which follows a sophisticated graduate student (Cruz) who gets tangled up in an erotic affair with her hedonistic professor (Kingsley), a cultural critic obsessed with female beauty. The Hollywood Reporter says several years after the heartbreaking end of their relationship, she returns with a shocking revelation that forever changes his life.
The film is scheduled to start production next month in Vancouver.
