Peter Sarsgaard is in talks to star as Dr. Hector Hammond
If he joins the cast, Sarsgaard will play Dr. Hector Hammond, a pathologist who receives psychic abilities after he discovers a meteroite.
Sarsgaard would join the cast that includes Ryan Reynolds as Hal Jordan, who becomes the title character and Blake Lively, who recently signed on to play Carol Ferris. The film, directed by Martin Campbell, is set for a June 17, 2011 release date.
Green Lantern was released June 17th, 2011 and stars Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively, Peter Sarsgaard, Mark Strong, Temuera Morrison, Jenna Craig, Jon Tenney, Mike Doyle. The film is directed by Martin Campbell.

Perfect. I think I'm gonna like the Green Lantern movie a lot. He is the top of the DC B-tier roster, and I am liking him more and more, Blackest Night is turning out to be good, too. I just wonder if Reynolds will be able to convince us he is a different comic book character without us thinking of Wade Wilson.
