According to Variety Peter Krause (Six Feet Under) will be starring with Mary-Kate Olsen, Alex Pettyfer and Vanessa Hudgens in Beastly. This is a CBS Films adaptation of Alex Flinn's fantasy novel.

Daniel Barnz will be directing this retelling of "Beauty and the Beast."

Krause will be playing the materialistic father of a handsome teen (Pettyfer) who plays a prank on a classmate who he doesn't know is a witch (Olsen).

The film is currently shooting in Montreal.

Beastly was released March 4th, 2011 and stars Alex Pettyfer, Justin Bradley, Mary-Kate Olsen, Dakota Johnson, Erik Knudsen, Vanessa Hudgens, Karl Graboshas, Peter Krause. The film is directed by Daniel Barnz.
