Peter Jackson's King Kong to Hit DVD Shelves March 28th

According to The Digital Bits, Universal has set March 28, 2006 for the release of Peter Jackson’s King Kong.

There are going to be 3 different versions of this DVD to chose from. A “single disc full frame” version, an “anamorphic widescreen” version and of course, “a 2-disc anamorphic widescreen Special Edition.”

The audio on the discs will be Dolby Digital 5.1 and all of them will contain the “188-minute” cut that was released in theaters December 14, 2005.

No word yet on what the extra content for these discs will be.

King Kong was released December 14th, 2005 and stars Naomi Watts, Jack Black, Adrien Brody, Thomas Kretschmann, Colin Hanks, Andy Serkis, Evan Parke, Jamie Bell. The film is directed by Peter Jackson.
