Paula Abdul to Leave American Idol?

It seems that a longtime judge of one of TV's most popular reality shows may not return for another season. According to Variety, Paula Abdul may not return as a judge on American Idol.

The news comes from Abdul's new manager, David Sonenberg, who says that there has not been a proposal made for a new contract and it seems likely that the singer/judge will not return to the series.

However, Abdul had recently stated that she had been invited to return for the show's ninth season and seemed optimistic about returning. Auditions for the new season begin next month.
