Paul Weitz in the Running to Direct Eclipse?

It seems another name has been added to the mix for the third film in a popular vampire series. According to Acting 411, Paul Weitz has also been mentioned as a possible director for Eclipse. Paul's brother Chris Weitz has taken over directing duties on the second installment of The Twilight Saga's New Moon.

Due to the New Moon post-production schedule for director Chris Weitz, his brother and co-owner of "Depth of Field Productions"- Paul Weitz- has also been mentioned as director of Eclipse.


Drew Barrymore has also been in the running to direct the third film and the site is also reporting that The Twilight Saga's New Moon and Eclipse will not be shooting back-to-back, as once thought.

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse was released June 30th, 2010 and stars Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, Billy Burke, Ashley Greene, Jackson Rathbone, Nikki Reed, Kellan Lutz. The film is directed by David Slade.
