Paul Walker to star as Agent 47 in Fox's Hitman remake
The film, to be titled Agent 47, is written by A Good Day to Die Hard scribes Skip Woods and Michael Finch. No plot details have been released.
Commercials director Aleksander Bach is making his feature helming debut with Chuck Gordon, Alex Young, and Adrian Askarieh producing.
Hitman was directed by Xavier Gens and was also written by Skip Woods back in 2007. The project brought in over $100 million dollars worldwide.
Production will begin in Berlin and Singapore this June. It is not yet clear if Paul Walker will go completely bald for the role of Agent 47, as Timothy Olyphant did back in 2007.
Agent 47 comes to theaters in 2014. The film is directed by Aleksander Bach.

I seriously hope video game adaptations don't start doing the cbm thing, with a reboot coming out every couple years. Granted, every single one of them could use a reboot, but if they're not taking the necessary steps necessary to actually improve upon the previous films, which it doesn't appear that they are, then there's no point.

@moviefreak97 My thoughts exactly.

im sorry this makes no sense to me....Paul Walker needs to be bald....Olyphant was hard to think of until i saw him but realistically cast Statham at least it makes more sense......we all seen Walker's films and frankly he needs to be detached from the world, his stupid grin doesnt work well with 47...u need a better actor, but then again this isnt an oscar type script/movie franchise

@thedude1 what was his idea?

The studio wouldn't use Skip Woods original idea the first time around so I doubt anything good will come out of this.

@Smitty-werbenjagermanjensen lol agreed. Vin Diesel playing this character would be the biggest and funniest miscast of the year. What about Mark Strong?

The worst thing about this news isn't the casting, it's the fact that Skip Woods is writing it. He's the guy who wrote the first Hitman movie, and he's written much worse movies than that.
Paul is underrated but he's a terrible choice for this. And directed by a newcomer? This movie is gonna be so cheap it might make enough back to not flop, but critics are gonna have a field day with it.
You know who should play Agent 47? Mark Strong. Nuff said.

No this shouldnt happen Agent 47 is not this guy. I would say get Jason Statham yeah hes kinda old but as @u1sart said the transporter films although not about an assassin are the best hitman movies lol.

vin diesel is perfect for KRATOS, not this. honestly if patrick stewart were a lot younger, he'd be perfect for this.

Paul would be better as Agent O, no one has pushed him to be a better actor. Until then, he needs to learn his lines instead of reading them.

@dan1 What makes you say that? If it's advertised better than the last Hitman movie I can see it doing decent. Depends what month is comes out too.

This movie is gonna be terrible. Paul Walker is the wrong choice for the role of Agent 47 and again, they have to hire a F*CKING COMMERCIAL DIRECTOR THAT DOESN"T KNOW HOW TO DIRECT AN ACTUAL GODDAMN MOVIE!!! First the Robotech movie on hiring a commercial director that doesn't know NOTHING about Robotech and now this. Somebody slap me!

Actually I think the right person to play hitman is Jason Statham.. he fits the profile to a tee.. think am lying look at all his transporter films in his suit and u will see what am talkin bout

this would pretty much just as bad, or even worse then having olyphant play hitman. I always thought either jon hamm would be the best choice, it should be someone older and more mature looking. And no Vin Diesel and Jason stathom are sh*tty choices. just because they are bald does not mean they look like the part!

Timothy Olyphant is the man.. Paul Walker will not bring as good of a performance as he did. Id rather wait for Tim to make another one then watch Paul Walker attempt to act

Regardless about how anyone feels about Walker, thanks to Bill Simmons I will from now on and always think of and refer to Walker as "Keanu 2.0." Thank you, Bill.

Walker as 47? i Cannot see it i have to be honest haha, he is a good actor in action roles though so maybe it will work. Have to wait and see, plus just to see him without any hair is a sight on its own.

Horrible horrible casting choice... I just don't get Hollywood? i mean seriously with? Paul Walker? he doesn't even look one bit as Agent 47... Why not cast David Bateson? he is already an actor.. Yes he isn't that popular or known, but he is the voice of 47 in the games, and the character is designed after him! not to mention he is the perfect casting role for Agent 47. I just don't get these studios...

@skywise Makes sense. Considering how much is subtracted from the total gross. Half from domestic and almost half from overseas. I wouldn't be surprised if the studio only took 5 million, if not less. (I learn as I got from my studies), so I guess it would be considered a flop. But, with new markets opening and the latest video games invigorating the character, I'm open to a new movie, I just don't think Walker can sell the role
