Paul Greengrass to Direct The Trial of the Chicago 7?

Last week we broke the news that Steven Spielberg was no longer going to direct The Trial of the Chicago 7 and now it seems they've found someone to take over the helm. Film School Rejects came across a buried updated listing for the film in Production Weekly which had named Paul Greengrass as the film's director.

This information hasn't been confirmed by the studio, but when we spoke to producer Walter F. Parkes last week, he did indicate that they were looking at directors and he wanted that film to be, "the next one down the pipe."

We'll have more on this story as soon as more information comes in.

The Trial of the Chicago 7 was released in 2010.

although Greengrass is good, i'd prefer that Spielberg direct it - but i'll settle for Greengrass if it allows TINTIN to come out sooner
