Paul Dano joins Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz in Fox's untitled action comedy, previously titled Wichita. James Mangold is directing.

According to Variety, the story centers on a federal agent, portrayed by Cruise, who finds himself teamed with a wholesome and upbeat Midwestern woman, played by Diaz. Dano will play a charming but mysterious scientist whose invention is at the center of Cruise and Diaz's chase.

Production begins next month in Boston, MA.

Knight and Day was released June 23rd, 2010 and stars Tom Cruise, Cameron Diaz, Peter Sarsgaard, Maggie Grace, Paul Dano, Marc Blucas, Viola Davis, Jordi Mollà. The film is directed by James Mangold.
