Alessandro Nivola and Parker Posey have been cast opposite Jessica Alba in the remake of the Hong Kong thriller, The Eye for Cruise/Wagner Productions, Lionsgate, and Paramount Vantage.

David Moreau and Xavier Palud are set to direct the film, originally directed by Danny and Oxide Pang (The Messengers). The storyline revolves around a woman who, after a cornea transplant, begins seeing disturbing images that send her on a quest to find out what happened to the eye's original owner, Variety reports.

No production schedule has been set for The Eye.

The Eye was released February 1st, 2008 and stars Jessica Alba, Alessandro Nivola, Parker Posey, Rade Serbedzija, Fernanda Romero, Rachel Ticotin, Obba Babatundé, Danny Mora. The film is directed by David Moreau, Xavier Palud.
