Clifton Collins will star in Parker for director Taylor Hackford
Jason Statham stars as the title character, a thief who, despite his illegal lifestyle, lives by a strict, ethical code of conduct. He never steals money from people who really need it, and he only resorts to violence when absolutely necessary. It isn't known what roles Clifton Collins Jr. and Wendell Pierce will play in Parker.
Taylor Hackford is directing Parker from a screenplay by John J. McLaughlin (Black Swan), which is adapted from Donald E. Westlake's novel series. Taylor Hackford is also producing alongside Steve Chasman, Les Alexander, Sidney Kimmel, and Jonathan Mitchell.
It isn't known when production will begin on Parker, which will be distributed by FilmDistrict.
Parker comes to theaters October 12th, 2012 and stars Jason Statham, Jennifer Lopez, Clifton Collins Jr., Wendell Pierce, Michael Chiklis. The film is directed by Taylor Hackford.
