Paranormal Activity to Get Wider Release October 9th

After selling out of every midnight screening from Thursday to Saturday in 33 cities across the United States, Oren Peli's new thriller Paranormal Activity, which earned an estimated gross of $535,000, will expand to over 40-markets and be offered at all hours beginning October 9th, announced Paramount Pictures.

"The fans have spoken, and we are listening" said Paramount Pictures Vice Chairman Rob Moore.

Paranormal Activity is presented entirely as home video footage. It follows a young, middle class couple after they move into a new house. What seems like a typical suburban 'starter' tract house turns to be a nightmare for the pair when they become increasingly disturbed by a presence that may or may not be somehow demonic but is certainly most active in the middle of the night.

Good news! I saw this saturday night for its limited release, and it is the most scary/disturbing movie I've seen in...probably ever. Its also fun when the audience screams and they laugh at themselves.
