It's not spooky. It's f*cking lame and boring. Anyone that is spooked by it is a wuss. See: easily amused college kids.

There is no comparison between Saw and Paranormal Activity except the way they're handling it commercially - having one film released for Halloween every year. Other than that, the Paranormal Activity films destroy the Saw films, quality and intelligence-wise. I feel like the people on here who refuse to watch them because its popularity has gotten out of hand are indeed missing out. Think of the films as low-budget independent scary movies and you'll see that they're films honestly made, with passion and a lot of efforts. Both films were very smart in different ways. PA2 is purely working on underlying fears and shows you nothing, yet it's still very spooky.
Don't knock those films out because they're popular, it has nothing to do with Saw -- even the first Saw wasn't a very good or particularly smart movie.

@Dragon1991 Not me. I haven't contributed to a SAW or PA movie yet. I saw the first SAW on someone else's dime.

@Dragon1991 Well, the films do have a fanbase so of course people will watch it. I just have been very hesitant to watch them because of the format and the word of mouth from my "trusted" movie "advisers" steered me clear. What about you @Dragon1991 did you like the movies? Do you think i am missing out?
