Paramount Pictures 2008 Summer Sneak Preview

Paramount Pictures has released their slate of 2008 summer movie releases including Iron Man, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, Kung Fu Panda, The Love Guru and Tropic Thunder.

Iron Man

Iron Man - May 2nd


Based on the long-running Marvel comic book series, Iron Man tells the story of Tony Stark, the enigmatic heir to the Stark Enterprises fortune. A driven inventor and executive who seems to have it all, Tony is haunted by his dark side.

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull - May 22nd


Steven Spielberg says that the film will feature all of Jones' former babes in various cameo roles including Karen Allen and other Indy girls who had smaller roles. It is still up in the air whether or not Kate Capshaw, Spielberg's wife, will make an appearance. The film is set in the early '50s.

Kung Fu Panda

Kung Fu Panda - June 6th


Enthusiastic, big and a little clumsy, Po is the biggest fan of Kung Fu around...which doesn't exactly come in handy while working every day in his family's noodle shop.

The Love Guru

The Love Guru - June 20th


Mike Myers is an American who was left at the gates of an ashram in India as a child and raised by gurus. He moves back to the U.S. to seek fame and fortune in the world of self-help and spirituality.

Tropic Thunder

Tropic Thunder - August 15th


In the action-comedy Tropic Thunder, Ben Stiller plays pampered action superstar Tugg Speedman, who is cast in the biggest, most expensive war movie ever produced. He sets out to Southeast Asia with a "Who's Who" of celebrity co-stars.


Iron Man was released May 2nd, 2008 and stars Robert Downey Jr., Terrence Howard, Jeff Bridges, Gwyneth Paltrow, Leslie Bibb, Shaun Toub, Faran Tahir, Clark Gregg. The film is directed by Jon Favreau.

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was released May 22nd, 2008 and stars Harrison Ford, Cate Blanchett, Karen Allen, Shia LaBeouf, Ray Winstone, John Hurt, Jim Broadbent, Igor Jijikine. The film is directed by Steven Spielberg.

Kung Fu Panda was released June 6th, 2008 and stars Jack Black, Dustin Hoffman, Angelina Jolie, Ian McShane, Jackie Chan, Seth Rogen, Lucy Liu, David Cross. The film is directed by Mark Osborne, John Stevenson.

    I agree with you, IndyJones. And it's not because Kung Fu Panda and The Love Guru will be bad (they'll actually be awesome and I can't wait to see them), it's just because Indy 4 and Iron Man have a MUCH larger fan base. But I'm gonna see all four and love them!!!

    The Love Guru and Kung Fu Panda (in my opinion) are not going to do as well as Indy 4, Iron man. And Tropic Thunder might fall into the same pit like Semi-Pro did becuase of its R rating
