Pan's Labyrinth Casts a Spell on the Charts
In a story from The Hollywood Reporter, New Line Home Entertainment was quite pleased to see Guillermo del Toro's Pan's Labyrinth take the top positions on both "Nielsen VideoScan First Alert sales chart and Home Media Magazine's rental chart for the week ending May 20."
Sony Pictures Home Entertainment saw their box office cash cow Stomp the Yard take the No. 2 position in sales, but it only grabbed the No. 8 spot in rentals.
Warner Bros. Home Video saw The Fountain nab the the No. 4 position in sales and the No. 11 spot in rentals. The Fountain, which was also released last week on HD-DVD and Blu-ray disc, took the the title of "high-definition disc seller of the week."
Lastly, Because I Said So, Universal's top sales charter for last week, fell to the No. 7 position.

Pan's Labyrinth was released December 29th, 2006 and stars Ivana Baquero, Sergi López, Maribel Verdú, Doug Jones, Ariadna Gil, Álex Angulo, Manolo Solo, César Vea. The film is directed by Guillermo del Toro.
