Rebel Wilson joins Pain and Gain
The story centers on Mark Wahlberg and Dwayne Johnson's characters, two Miami bodybuilders who plan an elaborate extortion and kidnapping scheme, which goes horribly awry. Bar Paly will play Sabina Petrescu, a beauty queen and illegal immigrant who wants to be a star. Instead, she gets involved with Mark Wahlberg's character, who convinces her he can make her rich and famous, if she does everything he says. Tony Shalhoub will play Marc Shiller, the target of the bodybuilders' scheme. Rob Corddry, Anthony Mackie, and Ed Harris are also set to star.
The actress will play Ramona Eldridge, who wound up in prison for her involvement in the scheme. Michael Bay is directing Pain and Gain from a script by Captain America: The First Avenger writers Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely.
Production is scheduled to begin later this spring.
Pain & Gain was released April 26th, 2013 and stars Mark Wahlberg, Dwayne Johnson, Anthony Mackie, Tony Shalhoub, Ed Harris, Rob Corddry, Bar Paly, Rebel Wilson. The film is directed by Michael Bay.
