Oz: The Great and Powerful Photo with James Franco and Michelle Williams
Following the six photos that debuted yesterday, Walt Disney Pictures has provided us with another shot from Oz: The Great and Powerful. This photo features Oscar Diggs (James Franco) interacting with the good witch Glinda (Michelle Williams), a sight we're sure the evil witches Theodora (Mila Kunis) and Evanora (Rachel Weisz) are not too happy with. Take a look at the latest image from director Sam Raimi's highly-anticipated return to the silver screen.

Oz: The Great and Powerful was released March 8th, 2013 and stars James Franco, Mila Kunis, Rachel Weisz, Michelle Williams, Zach Braff, Bill Cobbs, Joey King, Tony Cox. The film is directed by Sam Raimi.

@thedude-abides Well, I've never been a fan of Oz. I did study the movie freshman year and wrote a paper on the success of technicolor, but overall, never liked it, and a prequel won't help either. And it still looks like it's in Wonderland, but kids will flock

I'm still disappointed Williams agreed to do this. I don't think the reception for this film will be very good. For one, it looks more like a prequel to Tim Burton's version of Alice in Wonderland than anything resembling The Wizard of Oz; and two, the fact that it is a prequel to the latter isn't going to curry it any favor in terms of its expectation level in the eyes of serious Dorothy fans.
I also think Franco is probably the most overrated actor in the business today. He basically gained a reputation of being a serious actor based on the success of his role in 127 Hours, a role in which, if I'm being honest, wasn't nearly as impressive as it was built up to be. As for Raimi, he's probably the biggest indicator of all in terms of what kind of film this will be.
