Abigail Spencer joins the cast of Oz: The Great and Powerful
The actress will portray a young woman in Kansas who willingly participates in Oz's magic tricks, before he is actually transported to Oz via tornado. Abigail Spencer joins a cast that includes James Franco, Mila Kunis, Rachel Weisz, and Michelle Williams.
Sam Raimi is directing Oz: The Great and Powerful from a screenplay by Mitchell Kapner and David Lindsay-Abaire. Production is scheduled to begin later this month in Michigan.
Abigail Spencer is best known for her TV turns in Mad Men and Hawthorne. She will next be seen in Cowboys & Aliens, which hits theaters on July 29.
Oz: The Great and Powerful comes to theaters March 8th, 2013 and stars James Franco, Mila Kunis, Rachel Weisz, Michelle Williams, Abigail Spencer, Zach Braff, Joey King. The film is directed by Sam Raimi.
