Ouija will not be a scary horror movie according to the screenwriters
The screenwriters stated that this board game adaptation will not have a horror feel to it. That it will be more of an adventure story. Here's what Adam Horowitz told the site, when asked if it would be a scary movie along the lines of The Ring:
"No. It's Indiana Jones - that kind of tone. It's a big adventure movie."
A director hasn't been set for Ouija yet. We reported last month that Taken director Pierre Morel was circling the project, although he signed onto direct EDF a few days later and abandoned talks for Ouija all together.
Ouija comes to theaters in 2013. The film is directed by Juliet Snowden, Stiles White.

yea the Witch-board is the name u think of when u see this boardgame. They sell it at toys r us. lol. Anyhow my idea of a movie involving the "Ouija" would b epic, taking place on halloween night. Group of friends..partying..gather around after finding an old boardgame that bring evil spirits to life. or something like that. and then weird things start to happen in the house they r in. a course this would b a horror/type film. NOT adventure...On another note..borrowing from Jumanji isnt bad idea if they get it right. "example" You have to finish the game to stay alive. &/or if anybody doesnt..he/she dies. So you will see a few death scenes..hehe..But who am i to take this movie? the idiot wants it as an adventure story. blah. lol

hhahaha that's what i was gonna say. another Jumanji look-a-like. The board did a good job in Paranormal Activity. why do they wanna make it a kiddy version? why so all the lil kids can buy the game at walmart? lol they need to stick to horror. not adventures.
