Juliet Snowden and Stiles White will re-write and direct Ouija
The project has been languishing in development for several years, with numerous writers and directors attached at certain points in time. Pierre Morel was attached to direct when Once Upon a Time creators Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz were writing the script.
McG came on board in early 2011, until the project was dropped by Universal last August. We reported in March that Ouija was back in development, after the budget was slashed from $100 million to $5 million. Other writers who have worked on the script include Evan Spiliotopoulos (Wanted 2), Simon Kinberg (Mr. and Mrs. Smith), and, most recently, Marti Noxon (Fright Night).
Jason Blum is producing alongside Platinum Dunes' Michael Bay, Andrew Form, and Bradley Fuller. It isn't known when production will start, although the producers are aiming for a 2013 release.
Ouija comes to theaters in 2013. The film is directed by Juliet Snowden, Stiles White.

This just proves that a huge majority of American studio movies are f*cked.
