Futurama fans can breathe a big sigh of relief as there will be no need to recast the show. According to Variety, Futurama voice actors Katey Segal, Maurice LaMarche and Tress MacNeille have all signed on for the new order of episodes to be shown on Comedy Central. It was said that the other two main voice actors, Billy West and John DiMaggio, were expected to ink their deals shortly.

The move signals the end of a stand-off between the actors and the studio that almost lead to the studio recasting the roles for the popular animated program. In June, 20th Century Fox TV announced they would produce 26 new episodes to be aired on Comedy Central, but apparently the voice actors weren't signed on at the time and there were issues with the actors' episodic salary.

It was said that the actors were asking for $75,000 per episode, although the actors say their salary request was much lower and it wasn't said how much the studio was offering.

Futurama's new slate of episodes are expected to air on Comedy Central in mid-2010.
