Open Water writer/direct Chris Kentis is reteaming with producer Laura Lau for an untitled thriller. According to Variety, the film is being released by Paramount Vantage.

The script follows the plight of a young woman who is arrested for a crime she didn't commit. She is suddenly plunged into a world of confusion and terror as she tried to defend herself in the American judicial system.

John Lesher, a rep for the duo, stated, "Chris and Laura have the ability to tap into viewers' fears and anxieties and create scenarios that are truly terrifying in their realism."

The film goes into production during the early months of 2008.
