If it's just like the book, then what's the point of watching it? I mean, has this become a required read in schools nowadays? :P

Loved this novel. When I was in High School Jack Kerouac was one of my fav authors (He still is). So glad that the movie adaption is looking good.
@rufio K Stewart has definatly had some issues but with a movie like this I think there is a built in audience so I dont think her recent escapades will effect the sales. Also, she is a decent actress. Granted some movies are better than others but when shes good, she is really good and when she is bad well...you know.
And I dont hold Twilight against her and I dont blame her for how horrid the movies are. There is a lot going on there. The novels are bad technically and those problems that are inherent in the novels worm their way into the movies. Plus the direction is pretty bad ( I dont have to say that obviously but thats just how it is).

hahaha yet ANOTHER trailer where k.stewart dosnt talk. Whoever edits these knows how sh*t she is and thinks its better to not put people off by showing her. Shame she's in this... coz it looks interesting.

wow that looks really good. really good. and i had no idea that many people were in it in supporting roles - terrance howard! elisabeth moss! amy adams! kirsten dunst. etc. can't wait.
only possible downside (or up, depending on how audiences handle it) is KStew's recent controversy/affair. especially considering the risque-type role she is playing for this movie.
