Oliver Stone Getting Presidential Again
"It's about Chavez and the South American revolution," Stone said, referring to the new breed of politicians that have been elected in South America in recent years.
Stone was with Chavez in February during a hostage siege where he successfully brokered the hostages release from the radical Columbian group FARC. The documentary will not focus on the hostage rescue, but Chavez's opposition in his own country and worldwide, most notably from the Bush administration.

Should be a comedy! After watching the PBS doc*mentary on Hugo -- the guy is obviously a nut job and the folks there are starting to realize it. Promise the people everything and deliver nothing but being worse off. Top that with a guy who rules with an iron thumb deepening paranoia - ripe environment for comedy. I imagine Stone got funding from Hugo himself (having visited him many times) so expect a major propaganda flick - wait what else have we got from this guy anyway. >roll eyes

Stone needs to stay far away from making anymore films about historical individuals i.e. Alexander, W, JFK and now Hugo Chavez. Where do these directors find the funding for their projects when they turn out to be major box office flops? I dont think anybody in America will go and see such communist rubbish.
