Official Trailer for J.J. Abrams' Super 8, Plus First Look at the Creature in the Film?
After a week of slinging a in-theater cam version of J.J. Abrams' Super 8 teaser trailer, we've now got our hands on the official hi-definition version. In addition, we've taken several screenshots from the quickly cut video and we've captured what we believe is your first glimpse at the mysterious creature in the film. Take a look below!

Super 8 was released June 10th, 2011 and stars Joel Courtney, Jessica Tuck, Joel McKinnon Miller, Ryan Lee, Zach Mills, Riley Griffiths, Gabriel Basso, Kyle Chandler. The film is directed by J.J. Abrams.

I wish I had the link, but on the IMDB boards for this movie there is a link to an actual train crash that happened in 1979. Apparently, the crash cost between $5-10 million to clean up. Comparable to an average of $500,000 for such an event during that time period. Supposedly the national guard was called in to assist w/ the cleanup. I know Speilberg does his research (To say the least), but I wonder who his inside contact is for all this ET stuff. Must be a good one.
Btw in alien conspiracy lore, there was supposedly some sort of confrontation between us and the greys in 1979. The actual accounts differ, but the year 1979 is always the same as Ive researched.

I just think Abrams is teasing us putting the Cloverfield cast there, it must be a whole "new" project, he does want us to believe it is cloverfield because of all rumors out there with Super 8?

I don't think this has anything to do with Cloverfield. It's an homage to Spielberg's earlier sci-fi work.

So i went to that web site and it is part of super 8. and whats even weirder is the cast thats in this movie is also in cloverfield so i think this movie has a big part in cloverfield. you know jj abrams is always not true to what he says. This has something big to do with cloverfield

So much speculation so early. Reminds me of when the teaser for Cloverfield first hit and people were saying "it's a Voltron movie! He says "It's a lion, it's huge!" so it must be a Voltron movie!" Actually he just says "it's alive", but it was amusing to see those reactions nonetheless.

Saw this wicked trailer attached to Iron Man, can't wait to see this! Abrams is a genius with story & marketing...and Super8 will follow the trickled out/viral marekting for a year like Cloverfield where every movie fan will overanalyze all of the dribbled minutae.
As for seeing the alien creature in the last photo...that could just be a MovieWeb article teaser or maybe there is something see, but, looking at that last photo, I could make out a couple of "faces"...it's like looking at clouds or a rorscach test, you see what you want to see.

Okay, it took me like 5 mins, but you can see the creature (just barely) in that last photo. It doesn't show much but you can see the open mouth and one of the eyes. It looks really creepy actually. It's like faded, so it's hard to see it, but that's typical J.J. Abrams for you.

IF YOU WATCH THE TRAILER IN SLOW MOTION YOU SEE THERE ARE TONS OF PICTURES IN THE SLIDE. aT ONE POINT YOU SEE SOME SORT OF TAIL WRAPPED AROUND A PERSON. THEN IT CUTS TO THE ABOVE IMAGE WHCICH IS A PERSON SCREAMING. WATCH IT IN SLOW MOTION

I just felt like commenting, but the first pic does look like a little kid, but did anyone notice the last pic? to me it looks like a creature. You don't have to look that hard, but I do see a yellow eye looking to the right...
