Nora Ephron is reportedly very ill, but she has not yet passed away
Reps for Nora Ephron, who is 71 years old, had no comment about her current state of health, and her publisher has stated that she is, in fact, still alive. Family members have come forward to say that she is gravely ill. It is rumored that she is suffering from cancer and may not make it through the night.
Posted on Wowowow.com, the Liz Smith piece talks about their long friendship with Nora Ephron and what she has meant to the world of entertainment. She ends her column with the following statement.
"I won't say, "Rest in peace, Nora" - I will just ask "What the hell will we do without you?"

While no official word has come forward about Nora Ephron's current state of well being, Newsweek's West Coast Editor Kate Aurthur says that she has not heard good things.
"She is either gone or close to gone. It's not a hoax."
Often referred to as the master of the RomCom (romantic comedy) genre, Nora Ephron is best known for her films Sleepless in Seattle and You've Got Mail, and most recently directed Julie & Julia. We'll have more as the story breaks.

I have never ready anything from Mrs. Ephron but my mother is a huge fan. She has has quite an impact in the industry and for that i have nothing but respect. As @ejk1 said, i only hope the end is peaceful and that she is surrounded by those who love her.
