'Nobody Walks' 'Fix This' Clip

Magnolia Pictures has released a new clip from Nobody Walks, director Ry Russo-Young's critically-acclaimed drama that opens in limited release this weekend. Olivia Thirlby stars as Martine, a young woman from New York who moves in with a married couple, Pete and Julie (John Krasinski and Rosemarie DeWitt), in Los Angeles to try and finish her film. Take a look at this scene featuring a heated discussion between Martine and Pete.


Martine (Olivia Thirlby), an artist from New York, arrives in Los Angeles to work on her film. She is staying with friends of a friend, Julie (Rosemarie DeWitt), her husband Peter (John Krasinski), Julie's teenage daughter Kolt (India Ennenga), and their young son. From the day that Martine walks into the the lives of this open-minded, relaxed California family, everything is subtly set off balance....Peter is helping Martine complete the sound design on her art film and they collaborate closely together, working in the studio off the pool house where Martine is staying. They develop a connection that is rare for Peter and necessary for Martine to finish her movie, but which begins to veer away from professional terrain. An attraction is also brewing between Martine and David's assistant (Rhys Wakefield), who sixteen-year-old Kolt is crushing on as well. Meanwhile, Julie, a therapist who prides herself on being professional and together, is fending off the projective impulses of one of her patients (Justin Kirk), a screenwriter who can talk his way into anything. Each character in "Nobody Walks" experiences a surge of desire catalyzed by Martine's arrival, and everyone is forced to confront the new landscape that emerges in her wake.

Nobody Walks was released October 12th, 2012 and stars Olivia Thirlby, John Krasinski, Jane Levy, Dylan McDermott, Justin Kirk, Rosemarie DeWitt, Rhys Wakefield, India Ennenga. The film is directed by Ry Russo-Young.
