No Star Trek XI for Brent Spiner
Spiner, who starred in television's Star Trek: The Next Generation and the last few Star Trek movies has decided to not return for the upcoming movie:
"I don't think I should play Data anymore. I think I'm too old to play him anymore to be honest," he said. "I think it would look stupid putting that make-up on me at this point. There certain characters that I think work in a youthful way and I think I really skated along the edge in the last couple movies as it was."
He joked: "Having said that, you'll see the movie now and there I'll be in all the make-up... then you'll know I got a very sweet deal."
Star Trek was released May 8th, 2009 and stars Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Leonard Nimoy, Eric Bana, Bruce Greenwood, Karl Urban, Zoe Saldana, Simon Pegg. The film is directed by J.J. Abrams.
