We haven't heard much about producer Michael Bay's Ninja Turtles reboot, which is being directed by Jonathan Liebesman (Battle: Los Angeles, Wrath of the Titans). Today, we have word that production may begin in New York City this April.

We haven't heard any casting news about this live-action/CGI reboot, but if production is actually starting in only a few months, we should hear more about who is portraying Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo, and Raphael. The project has already created a lot of controversy, after the report that the turtles have a new alien origin, and the script leak which was negatively received.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comes to theaters June 6th, 2014 and stars Megan Fox, Alan Ritchson, Pete Ploszek, Jeremy Howard, Noel Fisher, Will Arnett, Danny Woodburn, William Fichtner. The film is directed by Jonathan Liebesman.

    @Zak-Lee-Ferguson yes the are probably changing the alien concept...but i didnt hear any rumors of that it would just possibly be the reason they delayed the project....maybe they got nagged at so much they just decided to give the fans what they want...none the less we will still witness ninja turtles

    @monkeyiron2-0 I think a while ago movieweb reported that the co creator of ninja turtles said he read the script and approved. So idk. I'd be pissed if they were aliens too. Just keep the regular foot clan and shredder. With tons of action. The cartoon on nickelodeon is pretty good
