Ninja Assassins Signs Up Collin Chou for a Lead Role

The Wachowski Brothers seem to have half of their lead ninja cast set for their new movie. According to SciFi Wire, Collin Chou revealed in an interview with the site from the Wizard World convention in Los Angeles, that he will be one of the four ninja lead roles in Ninja Assassin, which will be produced (but not directed) by the Wachowski Brothers.

"I don't think I'm supposed to talk about it, but I am working with the Wachowski brothers next month, and I look forward to working with them again on a major movie," Chou said. "It will be in Berlin." Chou also couldn't confirm the film's title, saying, "I don't know if that's the final name yet."

Chou is no stranger to the Wachowski's, having played the Oracle's protector Seraph in both The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions.

The actor also revealed that production will commence in late April or early May. He also added, "And this is a part that is built around me. They have wanted to have me in a larger part, and I was waiting and waiting for a long time for it to happen. I am one of four of the main characters in this movie. It is a great honor to be on board."

The only other lead cast so far is the Korean pop star Rain, who also appears in the upcoming Wachowski Brothers film Speed Racer this summer.

Ninja Assassin will be produced by Joel Silver and will likely have the Wachowski's protege James McTeague (V For Vendetta) in the director's chair.

Ninja Assassin was released November 25th, 2009 and stars Sung Kang, Randall Duk Kim, Jonathan Chan-Pensley, Yuki Iwamoto, Ill-Young Kim, Ben Miles, Naomie Harris, Rain. The film is directed by James McTeigue.
