Balls Of Fury screenwriters Thomas Lennon and Ben Garant have confirmed to us that they have just started writing Fox's Night at the Museum 2.

The duo did not disclose any of the plotlines, however they did confirm that "there'll be existing characters and plenty of new ones."

Night at the Museum has grossed over $500 million worldwide and the site reports that both Ben Stiller and Robin Williams are signed on to the sequel.

Night at the Museum was released December 22nd, 2006 and stars Ben Stiller, Carla Gugino, Dick Van Dyke, Mickey Rooney, Bill Cobbs, Jake Cherry, Ricky Gervais, Robin Williams. The film is directed by Shawn Levy.
