The two leads for an upcoming British film have been found, from very different ends of the Hollywood spectrum. According to Screen Daily, Nicole Kidman will team up with Twilight star Robert Pattinson for Bel Ami.

The film, an adaptation of the Guy De Maupassant novel, will be directed by acclaimed British theater directors Declan Donnellan and Nick Ormerod from a script by Rachel Bennette. The film centers around a man in 1890s Paris who ascends to the top of high society by sleeping with the most elite and powerful women in the city.

Production will begin in February 2010, with filming to take place in both London and Budapest.
