I love the character of Ghost Rider, and I would rather the next one be more dark, and less Digital. Of course, we're in a digital age, but the effects in the last one weren't great. I think Tim Burton's take on a Ghost Rider Film would be pretty cool.

The Narrator: The Better Man
I am with CBF. I mean, the comics, although I few I read of him were great. And I like Comrade's suggestion of putting Cage BEHIND the camera. And maybe I can see Sam Worthington as Johnny Blaze. I am not one to cast famous or liked stars in parts just because, but I can see him in this.

When it comes to marvel films, there isn't going to be an R rated version. It was announced months ago, but I do agree Ghost Rider needs to be upgraded to R standards. Dark films like this should have the R, some of the marvel films do suck.
Don't forget FF4 is being redone as well as Daredevil. I still think Wolverine should have been rated R, dark, gloomy, loner aspect the way wolverine is suppose to be, not this flashy stuff Hollywood likes.
One last thing, when are they going to do a real Blade film. I do like Wesley but another actor has to be given the chance, remember that Raimi vampire film set in Alaska. I would have liked it more if Blade was in it.

Although I hate that they are making constant reboots nowadays, they should reboot this one and give it an R rating like Agent Vis said.

It was okay to watch, but only if you were a fan of the originals.

That same was said for the Fantastic four. The first was so bad it was shelved and never seen. They thought it would be to hard to make so it took many years to redo. If you look at Batman, the last two was good, but not great compared to the first two. Then they rebooted and it is fantastic. They tried to do a contiuation story of superman returns, couse they wanted to build off the old movies, but it has been to long, so it sucked. Sucked as in story, but not entertainment. It was just ok to watch.

No question mark.

Too many movies? It would be the same amount of movies whether they did a sequel or rebooted? What's the difference?
If it's a sh*tty movie(which Ghost Rider was) then why the hell would you want a sequel? You name all these faults the first had, and yet you want a sequel to it that is different? Just reboot!

The first Ghost Rider was a piece of sh*t, on the same level as Elektra. Just because Cage had good movies in the past does not hide the fact that he is one of the sh*ttiest actors around today, in the sense that he is in terrible movies and is also terrible in them. The franchise needs a reboot because it had bad acting, a horrible and story, and godawful special effects. I would like to see redemption for the character, as well as Nicolas Cage's return to form, but who knows what will happen.

I want Ghost rider 2. Not much happy with the first one but I want sequel anyway.Blaze should be darker and in Ghost rider form less pozer. Mentioning K.Reeves...Will Constantine 2 happen anytime soon?

Hulk it. Do the same for Daredevil. I mean, with Batman, the last sh*tty one came out in 98 right? That's seven years between it, and "Begins", same with the two most recent Punishers. It's been almost three for this one, the Hulk had almost five years difference. To me, I'm really not afraid of closing the gap on rebooting sh*tty movie into decent, or at least less guaranteed-to-suck versions. I mean, Mark Steven Johnson AND Nicholas Cage? One of them is enough of a drag on a films quality, but BOTH of them, and you've got an atomic piece of sh*t. I don't even want to think about what would happen if they threw in Keanu Reeves.

WITHOUT HIM IN IT! God, the first one was sooooooooooooo f*cking baaaaaaaaaaad. I don't care if you liked it, that's cool, but the fact is that film was a flaming piece of skeletal sh*t. Now, put Cage BEHIND the camera, where his sense for entertaining people would be much better executed.
This interview isn't really news though. This is the same thing he was saying right after the first turd came out.

Ghost Rider sucked. What it should have had was an R-rating on par with the Blade movies. I don't just think every comic movie should have an r-rating, but Ghost Rider needed one because that's the kind of character he is. It didn't take itself seriously and the acting was terrible.

AnnoyingFilmCritic
Listen up my fellow *sshole movieweb members, the first Ghost Rider, albeit flawed, was serviceable fare in 2007. Post Dark Knight, every comic franchise is looking to reboot to re-energize/cash their respective franchises...Nicolas Cage is a tremendous actor (see "Leaving Las Vegas" to the young & ignorant who only know of his latest National Treasure/Bangkok Dangerous/Knowing releases) that is more than capable of pulling off an austere reboot of Ghostrider that seems to be a reflection of the zeitgeist/economy of our times.
The synchronicity of studio and principal actor, like Cage (himself, a personal comic fan/renamed his real last name Coppola (as in Francis Ford Coppola's/The GodFather- nephew to Cage after Marvel's Luke Cage chatacter) in direction of the next Ghost Rider is something to be celebrated...I'm looking forward to this Ghostrider reboot!!
